Barcodes Make Our Series Better

One reason AER stands out among amateur race series is that we use barcodes to track cars and drivers. The barcode stickers, which will be used on all cars and helmets, will be linked to the car number, team name, and driver name.

We’ll be scanning barcodes during qualifying and races:

  • When you go out on track
  • When you come into the pits

What this lets us do:

  • Have the Race Monitor display show the on-track driver’s name with his team’s name
  • Create a database for each driver
  • Police pit stops
  • Document driver infringements

What you get out of the deal:

  • Your own driver database—know which drivers are your fastest and most consistent
  • Easy-to-follow qualifying—so you can keep track of how you and your team stack up against each other and other drivers and teams
  • A competitive edge—you’ll know where you need to be to qualify better
  • Accountability—if someone causes an incident, we’ll know who it was
  • No need to post constant Facebook updates—friends will know when you’re driving and can follow you on Race Monitor
