AER 2021 Watkins Glen Supplement

May 7 – 9, 2021

  • ONLY participants with essential duties will be approved to enter the facility such as drivers, crew members, mechanics or instructors.

  • Those participants must be added to registered cars by 12:00pm on 5/5/21. No one can be added after that time.

  • Family Members, Friends, Spectators, Photographers, Vendors, Caterers, Chefs and/or Cooks WILL NOT be permitted to enter as they are not considered essential (ESSENTIAL DUTIES ONLY)

  • Minors – No individual under the age of eighteen (18) years of age shall will be permitted into the facility

  • Thursday

    • 5:00pm – 8:00pm  Check in will take place in the registration building, through gate 4A (Old Bronson Hill Rd).
    • There you will sign a waiver and receive a wristband – proper distancing will be marked off and must be maintained.
    • All participants must show their state issued photo ID.
    • 5:00pm – 6:00pm  You may wait in your car across from the registration building if need be.
    • 6:00pm – 8:00pm  You may enter the track through gate 2.
    • 8:00pm – 6:00am(Friday)  You may check in and enter the facility at Gate 2.
  • Friday

    • 6:00am – 8:00am  Check in will take place in the registration building, through gate 4A (Old Bronson Hill Rd).
    • 8:00am – 10:00am Check in will take place at Gate 2.
    • After 10:00am – they will still check you in at Gate 2 but you may have to wait. Please try to avoid this.
  • Saturday and Sunday

    • Check in will not be open at Gate 2.

  • All participants still need to check in with AER by the track side of the garages

  • The paddock speed limit is 15 mph.

  • The parking spots directly adjacent to each garage are reserved for the team renting said garage.

  • The fuel station will be open 8:00-11:30 and 12:00-3:30

  • Camping is provided courtesy of AER on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. This means the gate will be open and staffed on those nights so you may come and go. Do not nail tent or awning legs to the asphalt.

  • No drones.

  • All pets must always be leashed. Clean up after your pet.

COVID-19 Policies

  • This event it private. No visitors or spectators allowed.

  • Do not bring or invite non essential team mates, crew, friends or family.

  • Face masks required.
    -Must be worn to enter facility
    -AER branded masks will be available to purchase at check in
    -Must cover nose and mouth
    -Helmet with visor down is acceptable
    -Balaclava that covers nose and mouth acceptable

  • Social distancing enforced.
    -Maintain six feet + social distancing whenever possible

  • No hand shakes, high fives or hugs.

  • Wash or sanitize hands regularly.

  • Check-in will take place outdoors and be contactless.

  • Limit socializing outside of your team.

  • Spread out in the paddock as best you can.

  • Participation is at your own risk. Attendee’s with higher risk factors for COVID-19 infection must evaluate their own risk regarding participation at any race event. If attendee develops fever, cough, or other symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection, prior to, at or enroute to the event, attendee should refrain from coming to/participating in race event and seek medical attention instead.

  • Check with your province, state, county regarding reentry and quarantine recommendations prior to leaving for the race event. It is to everyone’s benefit as well as responsibility to limit the spread of the contagion. Because a race is allowed to occur in the state does not mean the risk of contracting the virus and/or spreading it to your friends/family/ co-workers when you arrive back home, is over.

7:30  Drivers Meeting

8:15 – 8:45  Grid

9:00  Race  Start

5:00  Race  Checkers

5:30  Podium

  • Five, 3 minute stops are required on Saturday & Sunday

  • You are financially responsible for any damages you cause

    • Guardrail – $400/rail
    • Guardrail Post – $150/post
    • Tire Wall Belt – $50/foot
    • Oil Dry (bag) – $25
    • Barrel – $500/barrel
    • Track Damage – $275 minimum (asphalt repairs to gouges)
